Right to work checks

As a School, you are required to carry out Right to work checks on any person before employing them. This is to ensure they are allowed to work in the UK; and to uphold your duty as an Employer to prevent illegal working.
We have recently published an article outlining the School’s duties around these checks. This includes information around the follow up checks Schools are required to do, for anyone who has restrictions on their right to work in the UK. You can read this article here;
You will be aware that when completing the DBS ID verification for anyone who is a non-EEA national doing paid work within your School, the documents you will use to verify their check, are now aligned to the documents you will use to carry out the right to work checks.
To allow us to support you, please email documentation of any individuals who currently have a time-limited right to work in the UK to email@example.com. We can then monitor these alongside the School’s own process.
