As some of you may be aware, basic disclosures - which are currently provided by Disclosure Scotland will be taken over by the Disclosure and Barring Service by 31st January 2017
The DBS have successfully launched their basic disclosure check service for Responsible Organisations (ROs) on 7th September 2017.
In order to handle this, DBS have increased staffing levels to handle the forecasted volumes of basic checks. They have planned a transitional period of between October 2017 and December 2018.
The primary role of DBS is to ensure employers are making safe recruitment decisions to prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups including children.
At Employmentcheck, we can confidently say that we are fully compliant and ready for this change over. There will be minimal changes for applicants and managers, just a few additional questions on the online application form and a slightly different ID verification process for managers.
If you would like more information about the move of basic disclosures or would like any more information regarding Employmentcheck, please do not hesitate to get in touch with one of our consultants on 030000 411114 or email@example.com
